In the morning hours (8:00 – 13:30) Shinshinim work as assistant teachers in the classroom (generally for grades five through eight). Their role is to strengthen learning skills and aid scholastic performance by providing students with continuous positive reinforcement. Learning takes place in small groups in the classroom. This  program focuses on the three core subjects: math, English and Hebrew.

Intensive “Learning Marathons” are held twice a year (for two weeks) to assist weak students narrow educational gaps.

Bakehila operates a unique educational program for students in Grades 5-8 from weak socioeconomic backgrounds in order to strengthen their learning skills and to improve their scholastic performance.
